Process
In this particular scenario, I firmly believe that the focus should be on designing micro-interactions, not screens. That's why I find Figma to be unsuitable for this task. While it can serve as an intermediary step, prototyping tools like Framer are more appropriate for interactions. Initially, I quickly sketch out the screen’s potential appearance in Figma. However, given the limited time constraints, I quickly jump to Framer. I believe that we must experiment with three different interactions to determine which one best aligns with the desired user experience for taking BeReal:
1
Taking an instant double picture
2
Taking a delayed double picture
3
A design that allow both behavior
In fact, I believe that the solution is in option 3, but in order to achieve the last step, you have to try out the two others to understand the interactions: as an interaction is something you experience, rather than something you see.
